Item type:Item, An enhanced technology acceptance model for e-learning systems in high-tech companies in Taiwan: analyzed by structural equation modeling(2008) ;Hsia, Jung-Wen ;Tseng, Ai-Hua ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceWith the rapid change in working environment, there is a need to implement e-learning systems but their adoption requires a fully understanding of the user acceptance processes. Our mainly effort is to integrate two constructs, perceived flexibility and computer self-efficacy, to examine the applicability of the technology acceptance model (TAM) in explaining employees\' decisions to accept e-learning. Based on a sample of 233 employees taken from 16 high-tech companies at Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan, the results significantly support the extended TAM in predicting employees\' behavioral intention to use e-learning.Item type:Item, Effects of individuals' locus of control and computer self-efficacy on their e-learning acceptance in high-tech companies(2014-01-02) ;Hsia, Jung-Wen ;Chang, Chia-Chi ;Tseng, Ai-Hua ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceHigh-tech companies encounter intense competition in today's global economy. With rapid changes in working environments, high-tech employees must learn quickly and effectively to solve difficult problems and increase their productivity. Many large high-tech companies have recently implemented electronic learning (e-learning) for employee training. However, e-learning systems are expensive and often underutilised. Therefore, understanding the factors associated with acceptance to e-learning are of priority concern. By integrating locus of control, computer self-efficacy and technology acceptance model (TAM) into one model, this study examines the feasibility of the extended TAM to explain employee acceptance of e-learning systems. Data were collected from 223 employees at five high-tech companies located in the Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan. Analytical results indicate that locus of control had significant direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Computer self-efficacy had significant direct effects on perceived ease of use and behavioural intention to use. Overall, analytical results provide strong support for using the extended TAM to explain user acceptance of e-learning systems. The research and practical implications of findings are discussed.Item type:Item, Regulatory knowledge management for semiconductor manufacturing in China(2007) ;Trappey, Charles V. ;Tseng, Ai-Hua ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceThere is a growing need to create trade data and regulatory information systems for manufacturers building new facilities in emerging world markets. These multinational companies must track world trade organization (WTO) rules as well as the domestic rules of operation. A semiconductor manufacturer must carefully monitor and take quick action on regulatory matters. The need for trade and market information and systems is now an integral part of global manufacturing. Without systems to monitor and process the every changing flow of rules and regulations, managers and engineers are less effective in preventing violations or arguing for changes. After China's accession to WTO, there has been remarkable growth in domestic regulations for the manufacture of electronic goods. Likewise, since electronic goods and components are of strategic importance to many of the worlds leading manufacturers, the rule base has become a multi-lingual and evolving collection that is extremely difficult to monitor or even effectively report about. The objective of this research is to study the management of a sub-set of the trade related data and develop a prototype information system for processing and managing trade regulations. A case analysis of the application in industry is provided.Item type:Item, The impact of internal locus of control on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use in e-learning: an extension of the technology acceptance model(2008) ;Tseng, Ai-Hua ;Hsia, Jung-Wen ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceE-learning systems implementation is costly and has a relatively low success rate. There still needs to better understand how human factor such as personality will relate e-learning system acceptance and use. Therefore, the goal of the research is to broaden the TAM model which would include variables related to human factor. Thus, our mainly effort is to integrate internal locus of control (ILOC) and computer self-efficacy (CSE), to examine the applicability of the technology acceptance model (TAM in explaining employees\' decisions to accept e-learning system. Based on a sample of 204 employees taken from 12 high-tech companies in Taiwan, the results strongly support the extended TAM in predicting employees\' behavioral intention to use e-learning.Item type:Item, The post-purchase communication strategies for supporting online impulse buying(2014-10-01) ;Chang, Chia-Chi ;Tseng, Ai-Hua ;管理科學系Department of Management ScienceAs online impulse buying and the consequent cognitive dissonance can be a critical determinant of consumer e-satisfaction, effective post-purchase communication (arguments) to reduce post-purchase cognitive dissonance of impulsive buyers hence warrants further exploration. The current research focuses on the determinants of perceived persuasion of the post-purchase arguments and impulsive buyer e-satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to investigate the persuasion of post-purchase arguments on online impulsive buyer satisfaction. A 2 (number of arguments) x 2 (argument strength) experimental design was employed in order to examine whether the persuasion of arguments (e.g. the number and strength of arguments) would vary upon consumers\' tendency to regret. The results indicated that an increased number of arguments provided after the purchase had a stronger positive effect on e-satisfaction when arguments were strong than when arguments were weak. Such an impact would be less pronounced for low tendency-to-regret consumers than for high tendency-to-regret consumers. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
