Item type:Item, Effects on Organic Photovoltaics Using Femtosecond-Laser-Treated Indium Tin Oxides(2016-09-28) ;Chen, Mei-Hsin ;Tseng, Ya-Hsin ;Chao, Yi-Ping ;Tseng, Sheng-YangLin, Zong-RongThe effects of, femtosecond-laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) on an indium tin oxide (ITO) surface applied to an organic photovoltaic (OPV), system were investigated. The modifications of ITO induced by LIPPS in OPV devices result in more than 14% increase in power conversion efficiency (PCE) and short-circuit current density relative to-those of the standard device. The basic mechanisms for the enhanced short-circuit current density are attributed to better light harvesting, increased scattering effects, and more efficient charge collection between the ITO and photoactive layers: Results show that-higher PCEs would be achieved by laser-pulse-treated electrodes.Item type:Item, Femtosecond laser-colorized indium-tin-oxide films for blue light attenuation and image screening(2017-12-25) ;Tseng, Ya-Hsin ;Yang, Hung ;Luo, Chih-Wei ;電子物理學系Department of ElectrophysicsLaser-colorized indium-tin-oxide (ITO) films are fabricated using femtosecond laser processing. By varying the laser fluences, nanostructures with cotton, brick and ripple forms are generated on the surface of ITO films, which produces cyan, yellow and orange colors. The fluence-dependent nanostructures on the surface of ITO films also significantly attenuates blue light so these materials are suited to eye protection and the screening of images behind ITO films for information security. The fluence-dependent nanostructures on ITO significantly attenuate blue light, which are suited to eye protection and the screening of images behind ITO for information security.Item type:Item, Femtosecond-Laser Ablation of Monolayer Tungsten Diselenide (WSe2) on Sapphire(2018-01-01) ;Chen, Yu-Ling ;Tseng, Ya-Hsin ;Chen, Yen-Chun ;Chang, Wen-HaoHer, Tsing-HuaNear-IR femtosecond laser ablation of monolayer tungsten diselenide WSe2 on sapphire is demonstrated. The ablation threshold is found low (below 10 mJ/cm(2)), due to its low dimensionality and weak coupling to substrates. Substrate-dependent ablation threshold is predicted and will be discussed.Item type:Item, Selenium nanoparticle prepared by femtosecond laser-induced plasma shock wave(2020-01-06) ;Tzeng, Wen-Yen ;Tseng, Ya-Hsin ;Yeh, Tien-Tien ;Tu, Chien-MingSankar, RamanA novel approach for the production of both amorphous and crystalline selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) using femtosecond laser-induced plasma shock wave on the surface of Bi2Se3 topological insulators at room temperature and ambient pressure is demonstrated. The shape and size of SeNPs can be reliably controlled via the kinetic energy obtained from laser pulses, so these are applicable as active components in nanoscale applications. Importantly, the rapid, low-cost and eco-friendly synthesis strategy developed in this study could also be extendable to other systems. The maximum 2PA of the studied chromophore was found to reach approximate to 31 700 GM, indicating that 2,3,8-trifuctionalized indenoquinoxaline units are useful building moieties for the construction of highly active 2PA-dyes. In addition, this dendritic structure was also demonstrated to effectively regulate the optical power of femtosecond laser pulses at 800 nm.Item type:Item, Synthesis and Characterization of Two-Photon Chromophores Based on a Tetrasubstituted Tetraethynylethylene Scaffold(2014-06-01) ;Lin, Tzu-Chau ;Liu, Yi-You ;Li, May-Hui ;Liu, Che-YuTseng, Sheng-YangA new series of model dye molecules composed of three multibranched analogues based on the tetrasubstituted tetraethynylethylene structural motif have been synthesized and experimentally shown to possess strong and widely dispersed two-photon absorption (2PA) in the near-IR region. It was found that the spectral position of the major 2PA band could be tuned by the electronic nature of the selected substitution units. The studied model fluorophores also exhibited fairly low photodegradation of their fluorescence intensity even under prolonged UV-light irradiation, which is beneficial for the development of fluorescence probes that are needed for long-term light exposure. Furthermore, representative chromophores were selected to demonstrate the power-control properties within the femtosecond and nanosecond time domains.
