Item type:Item, Analysis of Femto Base Station Network Deployment(2012-02-01) ;Tseng, YungLan ;Huang, ChingYao ;電機工程學系Department of Electrical and Computer EngineeringIn this paper, assurance of proper downlink outage probability, which is a design criterion based on feasible femto base station (BS) density, is analyzed. Considering femto BS deployment, a 3-D Poisson model of random spatial distribution and stochastic geometry are used. From the study, a closed form of feasible femto BS density will be identified. The analysis results not only can be used to predict the performance of various femto BS deployment scenarios but also can be used as a design criterion for resource control mechanism designs.Item type:Item, Log-Value Estimation of Random Variable Following Generalized Gamma Distribution in Wireless Communications(2013) ;Tseng, YungLan ;Huang, ChingYao ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsIn this paper, start from the m-dimensional homogeneous Poisson Point Process (HPPP), we present a closed form expression for the log-value estimation of a random variable which follows generalized gamma distribution (ggd). Numerical results are provided to show the correctness of proposed closed form. The proposed closed form can be applied to the calculations of signal strength and Shannon channel capacity of the random network which follows HPPP. Furthermore, our study can be extended to other studies of wireless communication. Here, we apply our proposed closed form to the fading figure estimation of Nakagami fading channel. Simulation results show our proposed estimator is comparable to other popular estimators.Item type:Item, Throughput Estimation Model for Uniformly Distributed Femto Base Station Networks(2013) ;Tseng, YungLan ;Huang, ChingYao ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsFemto base station (BS) is proposed in the next generation cellular communication systems to enhance the indoor coverage. Many researches had verified the advantages of femto BS through numerical simulation and field tests. However, there lacks a fast approach to estimate the throughput that femto BS would bring to the users. Based on the radio architecture of fourth generation cellular systems, we propose an effective estimation model to analyze the throughput of femto BS networks. Furthermore, by considering the effects of randomly distributed interference sources, low outage probability, non-cooperated packet transmission, and Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) packet transmission, we will identify a closed form estimation of downlink throughput in a femto BS network. Numerical analysis is also provided to verify the results.
