Item type:Item, OSNP: Secure wireless authentication protocol using one-time key(2009-11-01) ;Huang, Y. L. ;Lu, P. H. ;Tygar, J. D. ;Joseph, A. D.電控工程研究所Handover security and efficiency have become more and more important in modern wireless network designs. In this paper, we propose a new protocol using the one-time key for user authentication. The proposed protocol can support both intra-domain and inter-domain authentications efficiently. Our protocol requires five messages for intra-domain initial authentication; three for subsequent authentication; and five for handover authentication. No authentication server is needed during handover, and our design reduces the computing load on the authentication server. We show an integration and implementation of EAP from 802.1X and our protocol, giving an easy way to apply our protocol on existing 802.11 wireless networks. The proposed protocol is realized and verified on the SWOON secure wireless testbed. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. D. ;交大名義發表資訊工程學系This paper proposes a secure encrypted-data aggregation scheme for wireless sensor networks. Our design for data aggregation eliminates redundant sensor readings without using encryption and maintains data secrecy and privacy during transmission. Conventional aggregation functions operate when readings are received in plaintext. If readings are encrypted, aggregation requires decryption creating extra overhead and key management issues. In contrast to conventional schemes, our proposed scheme provides security and privacy, and duplicate instances of original readings will be aggregated into a single packet. Our scheme is resilient to known-plaintext attacks, chosen-plaintext attacks, ciphertext-only attacks and man-in-the-middle attacks. Our experiments show that our proposed aggregation method significantly reduces communication overhead and can be practically implemented in on-the-shelf sensor platforms.Item type:Item, Secure Group Key Management Using Uni-Directional Proxy Re-Encryption Schemes(2011) ;Chen, Yi-Ruei ;Tygar, J. D. ;Tzeng, Wen-Guey ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceThe group key management is for a group manager to maintain a consistent group key for a dynamic group of members through a broadcast channel. In this paper we propose a group key management scheme based on a meta proxy re-encryption (PRE) scheme. In particular, we propose an RSA-based PRE scheme with special properties. It is the first RSA-based PRE scheme for group key management and has the desired properties of uni-directionality and multi-hop. In our group key management scheme, each group member holds just one secret auxiliary key and log N public auxiliary keys. The size of rekey messages for each group key update remains O(log N). Additionally, our scheme has some distinct features. Firstly, the size of the key update history is a constant O(N) no matter how many times of group key updates occur. Secondly, the computation time of computing the newest group key from the key update history is always O(log N) no matter how many group key updates are missed. This feature provides a practical solution for group key update when members go off-line from time to time. Finally, the proposed scheme is immune to the collusion attack of other members.
