Item type:Item, ECG Monitoring System in Vehicles(2015) ;Wang, Ching-Sung ;Liu, Chien-Wei ;Huang, Yin-Cheng ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsIn day care for a driver, continuous ECG (electrocardiogram) monitoring is required because symptoms of cardiac arrhythmia and hypoxia can occur unexpectedly. To enhance care service and quality for a driver, this study proposed a real-time ECG monitoring system of transmitting ECG signals to Android mobile phones or tablets through Bluetooth transmission in vehicles. These signals are then uploaded to a cloud database, enabling healthcare physicians and nurses to instantly monitor and access ECG data.Item type:Item, Mobile and Bluetooth Technologies for Telecare and Emergency Announcement(2009) ;Wang, Ching-Sung ;Wang, Teng-Wei ;Lee, Jung-Huang ;Liu, Chien-WeiHuang, Shiann-fongThe first aid and immediately help are very important in an accident. The earlier detection and treatment we do, the better prognosis and health patients have. In the senior populations, it is more important. Once seniors have an accident, not only physically injure in their body, but also mental and social ability, and may have severe sequela. Concerning about these populations, this research design a simple, practical, and portable device of real-time monitoring body activity. When an accident occurs, the signals go through mobile phone, immediately notify the remote ends and provide first time help.Item type:Item, Reduction of Equivalent Series Inductor Effect in Delay-Ripple Reshaped Constant On-Time Control for Buck Converter With Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors(2013-05-01) ;Chen, Wei-Chung ;Wang, Ching-Sung ;Su, Yi-Ping ;Lee, Yu-HueiLin, Chia-ChingThe stability of conventional constant on-time control buck converter is constrained by the time constant, which is the product of the output capacitor and its equivalent series resistance (ESR). Specialty polymer capacitor which is mostly used as output capacitor for such a consideration although it limits the performance of converter. On the other hand, the multilayer ceramic capacitors are widely used in commercial power management ICs due to the advantages of low cost and ESR. However, the stability often confronts with the subharmonic problem caused by small time constant. A differential-zero compensator with the noise margin enhancement (DZC-NME) technique in constant on-time control buck dc-dc converter with output ceramic capacitor is proposed in this paper. Thus, the proposed DZC-NME technique not only eliminates the limit of large time constant but also tolerates the existence of equivalent series inductor (ESL) effect. Experiment results demonstrate small output ripple of 10 mV and high efficiency of 91% when ESR is smaller than 1 m Omega and large interference from ESL effect is 40 mV.Item type:Item, Single-inductor dual-output (SIDO) DC-DC converters for minimized cross regulation and high efficiency in SoC supplying systems(2007) ;Huang, Ming-Hsin ;Huang, Hong-Wei ;Peng, Jiun-Yan ;Tsai, Tzung-LingLee, Min-ChinA compact size and high efficient single-inductor dual-output (SIDO) DC-DC converter is proposed. Generally speaking, it is important to implement DC-DC converters with minimized components and small footprint area. However, large external compensated resistors and capacitors are required to stabilize DC-DC converters. The proposed SIDO DC-DC converter not only provides dual output sources but also has minimized cross regulation without using any external compensated components. Importantly, our proposed mode-switch technique corrects the mistakes in the previous design [1], which didn't mention the unstable condition. Besides, owing to dynamically adjusting DC current level like CCM operation, the SH)O DC-DC converter achieves high conversion efficiency. Experimental results show a high efficiency from 85% at light load condition to 94% at heavy load condition.
