Item type:Item, A Cross-Database Comparison to Discover Potential Product Opportunities Using Text Mining and Cosine Similarity(2017-01) ;Shen, Yung-Chi ;Lin, Grace T. R. ;Lin, Jan-Ruei ;Wang, Chun-Hung科技管理研究所With the rise of the Internet in recent decades, commentary, news, and further information on new products are present on various web sites. Thus, the Internet has become an abundant source of market intelligence. In addition, technological applications are presented in patent databases and disseminated to popular media, based on the perspective of technology life cycle. Therefore, the interaction between technological applications coded by patents and market intelligence reported by the Internet assists in discovering potential product opportunities. This study intends to identify the areas where technological applications exist, excluding Internet reports, by exploring the corresponding relationships between patents and media reports. Such areas could be identified as potential product opportunities. Text-mining and the arbitrarily oriented projected cluster generation (ORCLUS) algorithm is employed to classify important fields of patents and media reports. The cosine similarity of tfidf is then used to detect the relationship between patents and media reports. The remote health monitoring technology is applied as a case in this study. The results show four product opportunities, namely: wireless sensor devices, telecommunication systems and technology, wearable devices and systems, and medical services and systems.Item type:Item, A RFID-Enabled Traceability System for the Supply Chain of Live Fish(2008) ;Hsu, Yu-Chia ;Chen, An-Pin ;Wang, Chun-Hung ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceTraceability is important in the food supply chain to ensure the consumers' food safety, especially for the fresh products. In recent years, many solutions which applied various emerging technology have been proposed to improve the traceability of fresh product. However, the traceability system needs to be customized to satisfy different requirements. The system depends on the different product properties and supply chain models. This paper proposed a RFID-enabled traceability system for live fish supply chain. The system architecture is designed according to the specific requirement gathered in the life fish processing. Likewise, it is adaptive for the small and medium enterprises. The RFID tag is put on each live fish and is regarded as the mediator which links the live fish logistic center, retail restaurants and consumers for identification. The sensors controlled by the PLC are used to collect the information in farming as well as the automatic transporting processes. The traceability information is designed to be exchanged and used on a web-based system for farmers and consumers. The system was implemented and deployed in the live fish logistic center for trial, and the results are valuable for practical reference.
