Item type:Item, A FRAMEWORK FOR COMPUTER MAHJONG COMPETITIONS(2014-03-01) ;Shan, Yi-Chang ;Wei, Ching-Hsuan ;Lin, Cheng-Hung ;Wu, I-ChenChuang, Li-KaiThis contribution specifies a tournament framework for computer Mahjong competitions. A first version is described in Lin, Shan, and Wu (2011). The protocol between the framework and AI programs, is also described in Lin and Wu (2010). (In Chinese) The Appendices are not directly appended to the contribution; they are accessible at http://aigames.nctu.edu.tw/mahjong/protocol.html.Item type:Item, A plug-and-measure diagnostic tool for flux, resolution and beam size of a soft X-ray beamline(2015-09-01) ;Wei, Ching-Hsuan ;Lin, Hong-Cheu ;Lin, Shang-Wei ;Yuh, Jih-Young材料科學與工程學系A compact multi-functional diagnostic tool has been installed for commissioning beamlines at the Taiwan Light Source. For a photon beam, the instrument can measure the photon flux, energy resolution and beam size, consecutively with a photodiode or gold mesh, a windowless gas cell and a movable fluorescence screen viewport. Two gratings with ruling densities of 350 and 1000 lines mm(-1) and dispersing photons of energies from 80 to 1200 eV were calibrated with a photon flux of 10(11) photon s(-1) at slit openings of 50 mu m x 50 mu m; a maximum resolving power of greater than 10000 was certified with an absorption spectra of gaseous samples. Pressure differences over four orders of magnitude were achieved between the ion chamber and the flux measurement chamber with a single capillary differential pumping stage. A sequence of beam profiles was measured by moving continuously in the vicinity of the nominal focal positions. This tool is useful in commissioning or trouble-shooting at most beamlines in a synchrotron facility.Item type:Item, Cesium doping at C-60/rubrene heterointerfaces for improving the performance of organic light- and current-generating devices(2015-01-07) ;Cheng, Chiu-Ping ;Lu, Meng-Han ;Chu, Yu-Ya ;Wei, Ching-HsuanPi, Tun-WenThis study examined the effect of adding cesium (Cs) at C-60/rubrene heterointerfaces by using synchrotron-radiation photoelectron spectroscopy. A C-60/rubrene heterostructure is the basis of a novel organic dual device found to facilitate efficient integration of both electroluminescent and photovoltaic functions. With Cs doping, the interfacial dipole potential was considerably enlarged, as was the separation between the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of C-60 and the highest occupied molecular orbital of rubrene. However, the energy-level diagram indicated that a high Cs concentration prevents the formation of photoexcitons. By contrast, adding a small amount of Cs can effectively improve the efficiency of light-and current-generating devices. In particular, the deficiency of the dopants at the heterointerface may benefit the survival of photoexcitons. However, computing powers of mobile devices are also relatively weaker when compared with high-end machines. For example, the CPU speeds of mobile devices are about 1/5 to 1/8 of those of desktops; and the memory of mobile devices is usually limited to several megabytes. In this demonstration, we tune the program NCTU6 to fit in mobile devices, while maintaining reasonable strength. The program also won the silver medal in TCGA 2012. In addition, we also support Connect6 puzzles in the program.Item type:Item, Interfacial electronic structure of Na deposited on rubrene thin film studied by synchrotron radiation photoemission(2015-12-01) ;Wei, Ching-Hsuan ;Cheng, Chiu-Ping ;Lin, Hong-Cheu ;Pi, Tun-Wen材料科學與工程學系The electronic structure of rubrene doped with various concentrations of Na was studied by synchrotronradiation photoemission. Three stages of development were found with increasing Na concentration; Na penetrating deep into the organic film, followed by development of gap states, and ended with a metallic Na film. The charge transfer from Na to rubrene resulted in a vacuum-level shift. By doping Na into rubrene, we could control the IP of the organic molecule, which is favorable for application in organic semiconductor devices. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. The heterointerface was obtained by depositing C-60 on a 4-angstrom Mg/rubrene surface. The photoemission spectra showed that the added Mg preferentially interacts with and transfers negative charges to C-60. The interfacial dipole potential was significantly enlarged, as was the separation between the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of C-60 and the highest occupied molecular orbital of rubrene. The results demonstrate that the addition of Mg should be an effective method for improving the efficiency of light- and current-generating devices. (C) 2013 AlP Publishing LLC.
