Item type:Item, Analysis of Learning Achievement and Teacher-Student Interactions in Flipped and Conventional Classrooms(2016-01) ;Sun, Jerry Chih-Yuan ;Wu, Yu-Ting ;教育研究所Institute of EducationThis study aimed to investigate the effect of two different teaching methods on learning achievement and teacher-student interaction. OpenCourseWare was integrated into the flipped classroom model (the experimental group) and a conventional classroom (the control group). The experimental method was supplemented with qualitative interviews. Overall, 181 freshmen taking a course on physics were allowed to choose their own class based on their preferred teaching method (experimental or control group). The instruments included a teacher-student interaction questionnaire and physics achievement tests. The findings indicated that learners in the experimental group scored higher for learning achievement. Although there was no significant between-group difference in terms of teacher-student interactions, the small group discussions in the flipped classroom offered students more opportunities to clarify questions in an interactive learning environment than did the self-study in the conventional classroom. Thus, the interactions in the flipped classroom had a positive effect on students\' learning achievement. The use of the flipped classroom model allows for adequate teacher-student interactions, as teachers can provide guidance and assistance to students in person, while there are also greater opportunities for collaborative learning. The results of this study can serve as a reference for future studies on the flipped classroom model and OpenCourseWare, as well as for teachers and researchers in related fields.Item type:Item, Evaluation of the Role of Deep Trap State Using Analytical Model in the Program/Erase Cycling of NAND Flash Memory and Its Process Dependence(2018-02-01) ;Yang, Bo-Jun ;Wu, Yu-Ting ;Chiu, Yung-Yueh ;Kuo, Tse-MienChang, Jung-HoA method to analyze the kinetics of the charge accumulation in the tunnel oxide by the nand flash memory program and erase (P/E) cycling is proposed. Both electron trapping and detrapping processes are required to be considered owing to the oxide high electric field during P/E cycles. Consequently, the electron trapping in the deep trap state is concluded, whose trap energy (E-trap) is more than 3.5 eV. Furthermore, the as-grown trap state density (Ne), the trapping capture cross section (sigma), and the number of trapped positive charges can also be extracted to explain the tunneling current modulation and the V-T shift by oxide-trapped charges under the P/E stress. The trapped electrons are mainly distributed in the center of tunneloxide, and the distributed area extends as the P/E bias increases. In addition, the dependence of oxidation process is also shown. Both thermal dry and plasma oxidation have almost the same value of sigma (similar to 4x10(-17) cm(2)). However, 30% reduction of Ne is shown in plasma oxidation (similar to 1.25x10(19) cm(-3)) when compared with thermal dry oxidation (similar to 1.88 x 10(19) cm(-3)).Item type:Item, Low Temperature Cu-to-Cu Bonding in Non-vacuum Atmosphere with Thin Gold Capping on Highly (111) Oriented Nanotwinned Copper(1970-01-01) ;Wu, Yu-Ting ;Chen, Chih ;材料科學與工程學系Department of Materials Science and EngineeringCu-to-Cu bonding has drawn a lot of attention as it not only has excellent electrical and thermal properties but also excellent electromigration resistance. It is believed to be a next-generation technology of IC packaging and it will help keep Moore's law effective. According to previous studies, copper direct bonding using nanotwinned copper can reduce the bonding temperature to 150 degrees C but still requires a vacuum atmosphere. This study employed an E-gun to plate a gold layer on nanotwinned copper thin films in order to prevent oxidation. With the aid of the thin gold layer, we can prevent the oxidation of Cu surfaces and reduce the surface roughness. In this way, we achieved bonding at 200 degrees C in N-2 and 250 degrees C in ambient pressure with a low bonding pressure of 0.78 MPa.Item type:Item, Low Temperature Cu-to-Cu Direct Bonding with thin gold capping on Highly-orientated Nanotwinned Cu Films(2019-01-01) ;Chen, Fu-Chian ;Wu, Yu-Ting ;Chen, Chih ;材料科學與工程學系Department of Materials Science and EngineeringIn this study, we capped gold on the surface of highly (111)-orientated nano-twin copper films. With the great diffusivity of (111) copper and the low activity in gold, we can achieve a lower bonding temperature.Item type:Item, The effect of the flipped classroom approach to OpenCourseWare instruction on students' self-regulation(2017-05-01) ;Sun, Jerry Chih-Yuan ;Wu, Yu-Ting ;Lee, Wei-I ;教育研究所電子物理學系The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the flipped classroom approach to OpenCourseWare instruction on students' self-regulation. OpenCourseWare was integrated into the flipped classroom model (experimental group) and distance learning (control group). Overall, 181 freshmen taking a physics course were allowed to choose their own class based on their preferred teaching method (experimental or control group). The findings indicated that there was no significant between-group difference in terms of self-regulation. However, when comparing the means for the six categories of self-regulation, the results showed that the experimental group learners had significantly higher scores for the category of help-seeking. The use of the flipped classroom model created a learning environment which prompted its learners to proactively seek external help. These learners were more aware of their need for external help in their studies and were able to identify the person/people who could solve their academic problems, while they were able to find the appropriate means to do so and actually obtain help. The results of this study can serve as a reference for future studies on the flipped classroom model and OpenCourseWare, as well as for teachers and researchers in related fields.
