Item type:Item, ERROR ANALYSIS OF QUATERNION TRANSFORMATIONS(1991-07-01) ;YEON, FJ ;YU, PL ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringThree transformation formulas are derived that related the quaternions to the direction cosine matrix used in strapdown inertial systems. Transformation errors associated with these formulas are fully analyzed. The drift errors evaluated under constant angular velocity have been shown to vary slightly among three different transformations. It is shown that the skew errors in three transformation schemes are not all intrinsically zero. Yet the scale errors may differ largely by two orders of magnitude among transformation schemes. This may become a selection criteria for selection of attitude transformation schemes.Item type:Item, ON THE ROTATION VECTOR DIFFERENTIAL-EQUATION(1991-01-01) ;YEON, FJ ;YU, PL ;電控工程研究所Institute of Electrical and Control EngineeringA direct and simple derivation of the differential equation of the rotation vector is provided. The property that the time derivative of the rotation vector and the angular velocity have equal component along the direction of the rotation vector is also derived.Item type:Item, OPTIMAL COMPETENCE SET EXPANSION USING DEDUCTION GRAPHS(1994-01-01) ;LI, HL ;YU, PL ;資訊管理與財務金融系 註:原資管所+財金所Department of Information Management and FinanceA competence set is a collection of skills used to solve a problem. Based on deduction graph concepts, this paper proposes a method of finding an optimal process so as to expand a decision maker's competence set to enable him to solve his problem confidently. Using the concept of minimum spanning tree, Yu and Zhang addressed the problem of the optimal expansion of competence sets. In contrast, the method proposed here enjoys the following advantages: it can deal with more general problems involving intermediate skills and compound skills; it can find the optimal solution by utilizing a 0-1 integer program; and it can be directly extended to treat multilevel competence set problems, and thus is more practically useful.
