Item type:Item, Cost-Efficient Frequency-Domain MIMO-OFDM Modem With an SIMD ALU-Based Architecture(2015-12-01) ;Yeh, Shao-Ying ;Liao, Yuan-Te ;Lai, Wei-Chi ;Hsu, Terng-Yin資訊工程學系In this paper, a single instruction multiple data (SIMD) arithmetic logic unit (ALU)-based architecture is proposed to improve hardware efficiency in a 4 x 4 frequency-domain multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modem based on a space-time block code (STBC). The majority of mathematic units in the proposed architecture are centralized so that any mathematic unit can be shared with any algorithm. Six advanced instructions are also defined in the ALU: 1) complex multiplication; 2) complex division; 3) correlation; 4) channel estimation; 5) 4 x 4 matrix inversion; and 6) STBC-based decoding. A scheduler is essential to handle all data paths and signaling flows smoothly with the use of an SIMD ALU. As a result, it is relatively easy to reconfigure the proposed design for different specifications. The very large scale integration implementation of this chip, using an in-house 65-nm CMOS process, consumes a total of 1.87 M gates and draws 33.7 mW at a supply voltage of 1 V.Item type:Item, Online RF Self-Measurement for High-Reliability Wireless Modem(2015) ;Yeh, Shao-Ying ;Hsu, Terng-Yin ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceRF self-measurement is an important procedure when the system started up to ensure wireless transceiver reliably. We propose an online RF self-measurement in Xilinx Zynq (Zedboard) with RF (AD-FMCOMMS1-EBZ) to measure the radio frequency (RF) quality, in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER), Image Rejection Ratio (IRR), Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) and Noise Figure (NF). The measured results match theoretical simulations.Item type:Item, Poster: Anti-jamming Automatic Gain Control and Packet Detection for Vehicular Receiver(2015) ;Yeh, Shao-Ying ;Chu, Jian-Ya ;Hsu, Terng-Yin ;交大名義發表National Chiao Tung UniversityIn vehicular application, the wireless receiver not only considers the channel effect, like Doppler effect, Shadowing effect, Multipath fading,. etc., but also the impulse jamming and continuous wave (CW) jamming from the device in the vehicle. This paper presents anti-jamming automatic gain control (AGC) and packet detection for vehicular receiver. In impulse jamming and CW jamming existence, the AGC responses a suitable gain in 3.2us when packet is arriving, and the packet detection hit rate exceeds 99% hit rate under multipath fading and shadowing effect.Item type:Item, Poster: CQI-Aware Digital Beamforming in V2X Radio Modem(2015) ;Chu, Jian-Ya ;Yeh, Shao-Ying ;Hsu, Terng-Yin ;資訊工程學系Department of Computer ScienceThis paper presents a novel digital beamforming to improve channel quality. By estimating the received channel impulse response (CIR) to calculate the arrival of angle (AOA) of received signal, and we scan the AOA to adjust the weighting vector of received signal and improve the channel quality. The performance of system with digital beamforming can improve 16 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) in non-line of sight (NLOS).
