dc.description.abstract隨著近年來無線網路使用的普及,無線網路的品質也越來越被消費者所重視,但無線網路的訊號會因為遮蔽物與地形有所干擾,造成某些區域長期維持在訊號微弱或者無訊號的狀態。有鑑於此,本研究提出一個基於成本效益的無線網路訊號範圍偵測方法。此方法有三個步驟,在第一步驟,我們利用全球定位系統(Global Positioning System, GPS)或其他具有定位功能的車載行動裝置,即時性的回傳當下的道路資訊,包括經緯度座標、訊號強度以及基地臺識別碼。在第二步驟,再結合凸殼演算法將各個基地臺的位置點所連接起來,從而繪製出訊號的覆蓋範圍。在第三步驟,我們計算出覆蓋範圍的面積以及相對應的偵測成本。利用此方法與不同的道路間隔,我們可發現最適當的道路間隔,且此道路間隔可提供給網路營運商做為未來無線網路管理上一個參考。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractWith the advent of wireless networking, the quality of wireless networks is becoming more and more important. Wireless signals are sensitive to different landscapes and building structure. Therefore, in the thesis, we propose a cost-effective method for detecting the coverage of wireless signals. This method has three steps. In the first step, existing positioning methods, such as GPS or other mobile device with position function, are used to collect both road and base station information; In the second step, a signal-coverage map is created by using the convex hull algorithm. In the third step , the area of the coverage and its corresponding cost are measured. With respect to different road-to-road distance, the proposed method does find a cost-effective one. This distance is a good reference for the wireless network operators for maintaining their wireless network.en_US
