The design and implementation of a Chinese FORTRAN System are presented. This Chinese FORTRAN System preserves the full capabilities of a FPRTRAN language with the added features of representing varisble name and data in Chinese and performing Chinese I/O operations. Besides,a Chinese tabulation language, CHITAL [1] has been incorporated into the Chinese FORTRAN System to enhance the capability of controlling output format of chinese data.A sample program and its running result are given in the end for reference.

This paper defines a new kind of language. The language is called CHITAL-CHInese table TAbulation Language. The main purpose of the CHITAL is used for describing a table including Chinese characters. The purpose of this language is so general that a fairly complicate table and even a simple graph can be described. In addition to defining the language, this paper describes the implementation of an interpreter for it and gives some illustrated results.

In this paper, a Programmable TV Game System, which has been designed and implemented on the Motorola M6800 micro-computer, is described. The design of the hardware is based on the M6800 microcomputer and the MTX-256**2 TV interface. The design of the software is centered on a Graphic FORTRAN language. It is a FORTRAN with the addition of Graphic Statements for facilitating the description of a graphic entity such as a point or a line. Thus graphic-oriented statements are provided and the full capabilities of FORTRAN language are preserved in the Grphic FORTRAN language, and it is not difficult to write a Graphic FORTRAN program to specify a TV game. The structure of the Programmable TV Game System and its implementation method are presented in this paper. Some samples of TV game program and their running results are given for references.
