A quantitative analysis parametic amplification vas usually made from the viewpoint of voltage or power . This paper adopted electric charge as the quantity to be analyzed , since it reveals the physical insight of parametric amplification fully. The charge generation mechanism and the charge oscillation criteria have been established and discussed in depth. The simple case of pulsive pumping has been considered thoroughly, and the obtained results may be applied to wave propagation in time-variant media and to light refiection in periodic optical resonators. The approach developed here can be extended to more general cases such as linear pumping and sinusoidal pumping.
Temperature Dependence of Breakdown Voltage in Silicon Abrupt p-n Junctions

Temperature dependence of breakdowm voltage in silicon abrupt p+n junction has been calculated using a modified Baraff theory and measured experimentally from 77°K to 500°K, and with the substrate doping from 10^15 cm^-3 to 10^18 cm^-3. Experimental data are in good agreement with the results of the theoretical calculations. These results strongly substantiate the validity of the modified Baraff theory which has been pointed out by Sze and Cowwell.
