Compact single-to-balanced bandpass filter

A compact single-to-balanced bandpass filter is proposed in this invention. Firstly, a pre-design circuit is presented, which is composed of an inductive coupled-line (ICL) bandpass filter and an out-of-phase capacitive coupled-line (CCL) bandpass filter. A novel compact circuit with three coupled lines configuration, derived from the pre-design circuit, is then proposed for miniaturizing the single-to-balanced bandpass filter. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed structure, a 2.4 GHz multilayer ceramic chip type single-to-balanced bandpass filter with size of 2.0 mm×1.2 mm×0.7 mm is developed. The filter is designed by using circuit simulation as well as full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulation softwares, and fabricated by the use of low-temperature co-fire ceramic (LTCC) technology. The measured results agree quite well with the simulated. According to the measurement results, the maximum insertion loss is 1.65 dB, the maximum in-band phase imbalance is within 3 degrees, and the maximum in-band magnitude imbalance is less than 0.32 dB.
LEAPING ITERATIVE COMPOSITION METHOD OF COMPLICATED GRAPHIC AND STORAGE MEDIUM HAVING COMPUTER PROGRAM EXECUTING THE SAME

A leaping iterative composition method of a complicated graphic and a storage medium having a computer program executing the same are described. First, an initiator and generators are set. After several times of iterating, a transitional object is formed. Then, a leaping recursion is performed based on this transitional object. When performing the leaping recursion, a generator of each of the iterations is designed by a single pattern converted from a structural result of a previous iteration added with a base object. Since the result of each of the iterations keeps the original structure, the structure is used as the input initiator. The initiator of the first iteration can be a feature of different iteration objects. Since the input structure of iterations are the same, the advantage of reducing computing resources and avoid system overload are reachable.

Laminaripentaose-producing beta-1,3-glucanase (LPHase), a member of glycoside hydrolase family 64, cleaves a long-chain polysaccharide beta-1,3-glucan into specific pentasaccharide oligomers. The crystal structure of LPHase from Streptomyces matensis DIC-108 was solved to 1.62 angstrom resolution using multiple-wavelength anomalous dispersion methods. The LPHase structure reveals a novel crescent-like fold; it consists of a barrel domain and a mixed (alpha/beta) domain, forming a wide-open groove between the two domains. The liganded crystal structure was also solved to 1.80 angstrom, showing limited conformational changes. Within the wide groove, a laminaritetraose molecule is found to sit in an electronegatively charged central region and is proximal to several conserved residues including two carboxylates (Glu(154) and Asp(170)) and four other sugar-binding residues (Thr156, Asn(158), Trp(163), and Thr(167)). Molecular modeling using a laminarihexaose as a substrate suggests roles for Glu(154) and Asp(170) as acid and base catalysts, respectively, whereas the side chains of Thr(156), Asn(158), and Trp(163) demarcate subsite +5. Site-directed mutagenesis of Glu(154) and Asp(170) confirms that both carboxylates are essential for catalysis. Together, our results suggest that LPHase uses a direct displacement mechanism involving Glu(154) and Asp(170) to cleave a beta-1,3-glucan into specific alpha-pentasaccharide oligomers.
