Item type:Item, Franck-Condon simulation of the A B-1(2) -> X (1)A(1) dispersed fluorescence spectrum of fluorobenzene and its rate of the internal conversion(2011-03-07) ;He, Rongxing ;Yang, Ling ;Zhu, Chaoyuan ;Yamaki, MasahiroLee, Yuan-PernBy using three different hybrid exchange-correlation functionals containing 20%, 35%, and 50% of exact Hartree-Fock (HF) exchange of the density functional theory and its time-dependent extension plus the Hartree-Fock and the configuration interaction of single excitation methods, equilibrium geometries, and their 30 vibrational-normal-mode frequencies of the ground S-0((1)A(1)) and the first excited S-1(B-1(2)) states of fluorobenzene (FB) were calculated. The dispersed fluorescence spectrum and internal conversion (IC) rate of the A B-1(2) -> X (1)A(1) transition were simulated by Franck-Condon (FC) calculations within the displaced harmonic oscillator approximation plus anharmonic and distorted corrections. The simulated spectral profile is primarily described by the Franck-Condon progression from the ring-breathing modes v(9) and v(10) which belong to totally symmetry modes. Anharmonic corrections simultaneously improve the intensity order of 9(1)(0) and 10(1)(0) bands and diminish 1(1)(0) transition that is fairly strong in harmonic simulations. It is concluded that the amount of Hartree-Fock exchange does impact the geometries and vibrational frequencies of FB molecule, but not the relative intensities of the transitions. It is anharmonic corrections that make the relative intensities of the transitions in good agreement with experimental results. Distorted corrections could assign most of the dominant overtones of out-of-plane nontotally symmetry modes, and the results agree well with the experimental assignments. Furthermore, it was found that the internal conversion rate is dominated by three promoting modes that are computed with lowing symmetry to C-1. By choosing dephasing width as 10 cm(-1) that is consistent with spectral simulation, we obtained the lifetimes of the A B-1(2) -> X (1)A(1) de-excitation as 11 and 19 ns, respectively, from TD(B3LYP) and HF/CIS calculations in comparison with the experimental value 14.75 ns. The setup concerns a resonance-level quantum dot coupled to two spinless fermionic baths with a finite bias voltage and an ohmic bosonic bath representing a dissipative environment. The system is equivalent to an anisotropic Kondo model. As dissipation strength increases, the system at zero temperature and zero bias exhibits a quantum phase transition of the Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) type between a conducting delocalized phase and an insulating localized phase. Within the nonequilibrium frequency-dependent renormalization group (RG) approach, the finite bias crossover in dynamical decoherence rate and charge susceptibility close to the transition are addressed. The dynamical decoherence rate is found to increase with increasing frequency. In the delocalized phase, it shows a singularity at frequencies equal to positive or negative bias voltage. As the system cross overs to the localized phase, the decoherence rate at low frequencies gets progressively smaller and the singular feature is gradually smeared out, leading to a single linear frequency dependence. The dynamical charge susceptibility at low frequencies shows a dip-to-peak crossover across the transition. Relevance of these results to the experiments is discussed.Item type:Item, Franck-Condon simulation of the A (1)B(2) -> X (1)A(1) dispersed fluorescence spectrum of fluorobenzene and its rate of the internal conversion(2011-03-07) ;He, Rongxing ;Yang, Ling ;Zhu, Chaoyuan ;Yamaki, MasahiroLee, Yuan-PernBy using three different hybrid exchange-correlation functionals containing 20%, 35%, and 50% of exact Hartree-Fock (HF) exchange of the density functional theory and its time-dependent extension plus the Hartree-Fock and the configuration interaction of single excitation methods, equilibrium geometries, and their 30 vibrational-normal-mode frequencies of the ground S(0)((1)A(1)) and the first excited S(1)((1)B(2)) states of fluorobenzene (FB) were calculated. We have reported a unipolar-switching Ni/HfO(2)/Si structure with low RESET current of 50 mu A and RESET power of 30 mu W. In addition, a unique cycling evolution of RESET current across more than two orders of magnitude allows us to probe into the evolvement of filament morphology at nanoscale, using a simple yet quantitative model. Filament morphology was found to depend strongly on the charge-dissipation current proportional to the powers of SET voltage. Moreover, the formation of inactive semiconductive filaments plays an important role in the reduction in RESET current. (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. Two intense transient features with origins near 1152 and 994 cm(-1) are assigned to syn-CH3OSO; the former is attributed to overlapping bands at 1154 +/- 3 and 1151 +/- 3 cm(-1), assigned to the S=O stretching mixed with CH3 rocking (nu(8)) and the S=O stretching mixed with CH3 wagging (nu(9)) modes, respectively, and the latter to the C-O stretching (nu(10)) mode at 994 +/- 6 cm(-1). Two weak bands at 2991 +/- 6 and 2956 +/- 3 cm(-1) are assigned as the CH3 antisymmetric stretching (nu(2)) and symmetric stretching (nu(3)) modes, respectively. Observed vibrational transition wavenumbers agree satisfactorily with those predicted with quantum-chemical calculations at level B3P86/aug-cc-pVTZ. Based on rotational parameters predicted at that level, the simulated rotational contours of these bands agree satisfactorily with experimental results. The simulation indicates that the S=O stretching mode of anti-CH3OSO near 1164 cm(-1) likely makes a small contribution to the observed band near 1152 cm(-1). A simple kinetic model of self-reaction is employed to account for the decay of CH3OSO and yields a second-order rate coefficient k =(4 +/- 2) x 10(-10) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1). Via the butterfly-type connection, information can be reciprocally transmitted between the parallel match lines, which are independent originally. When a miss case occurs, more succeeding memory cells will not be compared but will be turned off. Thereby, the power consumption is reduced. Further, XOR-based conditional keepers are used to reduce the matching time and the power consumption. Besides, such a circuit is also used to shorten the delay time of the butterfly-type connection. Item type:Item, GaN HEMT with Nitrogen-Rich Tungsten Nitride Schottky Gate and Method of Forming the Same(2011-03-10) ;Chang, Edward YiLu, Chung-YuA GaN HEMT with Schottky gate is disclosed.
