A GaN HEMT with Schottky gate is disclosed. The GaN HEMT sequentially has a GaN layer, an AlGaN layer, and a Schottky gate on a substrate, and a source and a drain on two sides of the Schottky gate. The Schottky gate is made by a material of nitrogen-rich tungsten nitride, which has a nitrogen content of about 0.5 molar ratio.
Wetted wall venturi scrubber with a 2-stage venturi throat

A venturi scrubber which avoids clogging in the throat by dust particles is developed. The scrubber includes a venturi tube, two scrubbing fluid conduits and a storage tank. The venturi tube has a converging section, a diverging section and a throat section which is connected between the converging section and the diverging section. The scrubbing fluid conduit has a top end connected with the bottom end of the converging section of the venturi tube, and a bottom end extending into the storage tank. Thereby, scrubbing fluid can be guided directly into the storage tank without passing through the throat section. As a result, the clogging of dust particles on the converging section of the venturi throat can be minimized and the abnormal increase in the pressure drop of the air flow through the throat can also be avoided.

Nanodevice and method for in vivo monitoring and release of drugs are provided. The disclosed nanodevice is characterized in having a drug-loaded nanosphere that is capable of releasing the encapsulated drugs upon magnetically stimulation. The nanodevice may also be used as a contrast agent for in vivo imaging and monitoring the concentration and distribution of the released drugs and/or active compounds injected separately into a target site of a subject.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING NANOSCALE THERMOELECTRIC DEVICE

The present invention discloses a method for fabricating a nanoscale thermoelectric device, which comprises steps: providing at least one template having a group of nanoscale pores; forming a substrate on the bottom of the template; injecting a molten semiconductor material into the nanoscale pores to form a group of semiconductor nanoscale wires; removing the substrate to obtain a semiconductor nanoscale wire array; and using metallic conductors to cascade at least two semiconductor nanoscale wire arrays to form a thermoelectric device having a higher thermoelectric conversion efficiency.

An electromagnetic band-gap structure includes a circuit board, a ground plane and a plurality of electromagnetic band-gap units. The circuit board includes a first side and a second surface, and the ground plane disposed on the first side. The plurality of electromagnetic band-gap units are located on both the first surface and the second surface and connected to each other along an edge of the ground plane. Every electromagnetic band-gap unit includes a first strip line, a second strip line and a via. The first strip line is located on the first side, including a first relative long strip line and a first relative short strip line connected to the ground. The second strip line is located on the second side. The second strip line is connected to the first strip line of the adjacent electromagnetic band-gap unit through the via.
Wet electrostatic precipitator with pulse jet for cleaning discharge wires

A wet electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is disclosed to have a housing, several discharge wires, two roughened collection electrodes coated with TiO2 or SiO2 nanoparticles, two porous metallic plates, and two roughened glass plates coated with TiO2 or SiO2 nanoparticles. The porous metallic plates and the glass plates coated with TiO2 or SiO2 nanoparticles located above the collection electrodes are used to enhance the uniformity of the water film. When particles are introduced into the ESP, they are charged by gas ions generated by corona discharge, and then migrate to collection electrodes due to electrostatic force. Finally, particles are removed by uniform water film flowing downward along the collection electrodes. Furthermore, pulse jet passing through the small holes on the collection plates is used to clean discharge wires, maintaining electric corona strength and prolonging the operation life.

A dielectrophoresis-based microfluidic system includes a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate and a spacing structure. The first electrode plate comprises a first substrate and an electrode layer disposed on one side surface of the first substrate. The second electrode plate comprises a second substrate and a plurality of electrodes. The electrodes are disposed on one side surface of the second substrate which is opposite to the electrode layer, and arranged in a microchannel pattern. The spacing structure is disposed between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate so that a space is defined between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate. Accordingly, users can inject microfluid into the space and apply voltage to different electrodes to drive the microfluid to flow towards different directions.
功率因數修正方法及其裝置

一種應用於昇壓型轉換器之功率因數修正方法及其裝置。功率因數修正方法係先由回授輸入與輸出電壓，產生開關切換參考信號；再由轉換器回授之輸出電壓與電壓命令之電壓誤差，經電壓控制器取得相位位移量，進而利用相位位移器，平移此開關切換參考信號，決定出開關切換控制信號，再經由比較器比較開關切換控制信號與三角波信號，產生最終開關切換信號，進而調整輸入電流波形跟隨電壓波形，以修正功率因數。應用此方法之功率因數控制器僅用單一電壓迴路，無須回授電流，即可修飾電流波形，大大簡化電路的複雜度。

本發明係揭示一種檢測複製影像資料之視訊編碼方法。藉由似然率檢定預先決策複製影像資料及編碼過程可否終止，因此可摒除視訊編碼裝置之位移估測與位移補償等冗餘運算。實施例中，區塊複製似然率由編碼區塊及預測位移對應之預測區塊計算；為限制誤檢率以維持編碼率－失真表現，決策臨界由預測及檢測統計量動態的調整。

Multifunctional phosphorescent bis-cyclometallated iridium(III) complexes based on the 2-phenyl-1,2,3-benzotriazole moiety and bearing branched hole-transporting carbazole fragments were synthesized. The isolated compounds were found to be amorphous and expressed very good solubility. Introduction of flexible aliphatic chains of various lengths into the iridium complexes enabled manipulation of their glass transition temperature. The iridium complexes exhibited red phosphorescence emission at 650 nm with the lifetime of 5.7 mu s and phosphorescence quantum yields of 0.22 and 0.17 in solution and solid state, respectively, at room temperature. The shielding effect of the carbazolyl moieties on the concentration quenching of phosphorescence of the iridium centers was found to result in the increased excited state lifetime and quantum yield due to the suppressed exciton migration. Non-optimized OLED devices, based on the phosphorescent bis-cyclometallated iridium(III) complex without host material were fabricated and their electroluminescence properties were evaluated.
