AUTOMATIC INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR DEFECTS OF PRINTED ART TILE BASED ON TEXTURE FEATURE ANALYSIS

An automatic inspection system of printed art tile defects is reported in this artucke. After calculating eight defect features of art tile using the gray level co-occurrence matrix and the average R, G, B values of a defective area, the results were input into a backward propagation neural network for training the defect classifier. During inspection, the proposed system compared the inspected image with a standard image and removed noise by an erosion operation in order to preliminarily determine whether the art tile had defects. For the defective art tile images, the proposed classifier successfully identified four types of common printing defects. The proposed algorithm had an average recognition rate of 90%, suggesting that the recognition accuracy is good, and only requires 1-2s to inspect an art tile with the size of 15x15cm(2). The inspection speed is faster than the conventional manual inspection, and recognition results are more stable. The proposed system can reduce the risk of error caused by the long duration of manual inspection, and thus, can reduce manufacturing costs.

An image tracking system and an image tracking method. The image tracking system includes image capture module, detection module and processing module. The image capture module captures real-time image. The detection module analyzes the real-time image, and detects whether positions of a plurality of instruments are disposed in the real-time image. The processing module defines buffer zone in the real-time image, and analyses whether the instruments are disposed in the buffer zone based on the positions of the instruments, and determines whether spacing distance between the instruments is small than preset distance. When the spacing distance is smaller than the preset distance or the instruments are disposed outside the buffer zone, the processing module emits controlling signal to control the image capture module to move to capture position. As a result, the present invention may achieve image tracking real time and provide stable image.
HETEROSTRUCTURE CONTAINING IC AND LED AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

A heterostructure containing IC and LED and a method of fabricating. An IC and an LED are established with the IC having a first electric-conduction block and a first connection block. The IC electrically connects to the first electric-conduction block. A first face of the LED has a second electric-conduction block and a second connection block. The LED is electrically connected to the second electric-conduction block. The first electric-conduction block and the first connection block are respectively joined to the second electric-conduction block and the second connection block, and the first electric-conduction block are electrically connected with the second electric-conduction block to form a heterostructure. The heterostructure provides functions of heat radiation and electric communication for IC and LED.
On dynamic demand responsive transport services with degree of dynamism

The operation of a demand responsive transport service usually considers advanced and real-time requests. Previous studies focused on solution algorithms for routing and scheduling challenges of a pickup and delivery problem with time windows, but the operational issues of the overall system performance under a partially dynamic environment have not been investigated. In this article, we explore the operating efficiency of a dispatching system with a degree of dynamism (i.e. a ratio of dynamic requests). It is found that a dispatching system incurs higher transportation costs and accepts fewer requests when the request arrivals are partially dynamic, as compared to static or fully dynamic scenarios. Operational policies are derived for the dispatcher to avoid the inefficient range of degree of dynamism if future demand can be anticipated.
Effects of individuals' locus of control and computer self-efficacy on their e-learning acceptance in high-tech companies

High-tech companies encounter intense competition in today's global economy. With rapid changes in working environments, high-tech employees must learn quickly and effectively to solve difficult problems and increase their productivity. Many large high-tech companies have recently implemented electronic learning (e-learning) for employee training. However, e-learning systems are expensive and often underutilised. Therefore, understanding the factors associated with acceptance to e-learning are of priority concern. By integrating locus of control, computer self-efficacy and technology acceptance model (TAM) into one model, this study examines the feasibility of the extended TAM to explain employee acceptance of e-learning systems. Data were collected from 223 employees at five high-tech companies located in the Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan. Analytical results indicate that locus of control had significant direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Computer self-efficacy had significant direct effects on perceived ease of use and behavioural intention to use. Overall, analytical results provide strong support for using the extended TAM to explain user acceptance of e-learning systems. The research and practical implications of findings are discussed.
