This study examines both direct and indirect effects of perceived corporate citizenship on psychological contracts and their key mediator. In the proposed model herein, transactional and relational contracts are affected by four dimensions of perceived corporate citizenship directly and indirectly through the mediation of job self-efficacy. Empirical testing using a survey of personnel from 20 high-tech corporations fully or partially supports eight of our nine hypothesized model paths. Finally, managerial implications and limitations of our findings are discussed.Item type:Item, Hydrogel Micropatches for Sampling and Profiling Skin Metabolites(2014-03-04) ;Dutkiewicz, Ewelina P. ;Lin, Jia-Der ;Tseng, Te-Wei ;Wang, Yi-ShengUrban, Pawel L.Metabolites excreted by skin have a huge potential as disease biomarkers. However, due to the shortage of convenient sampling/analysis methods, the analysis of sweat has not become very popular in the clinical setting (pilocarpine iontophoresis being a prominent exception). In this report, a facile method for sampling and rapid chemical profiling of skin metabolites excreted with sweat is proposed. Metabolites released by skin (primarily the constituents of sweat) are collected into hydrogel (agarose) micropatches. Subsequently, they are extracted in an online analytical setup incorporating nanospray desorption electrospray ionization and an ion trap mass spectrometer. In a series of reference measurements, using bulk sampling and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, various low-molecular-weight metabolites are detected in the micropatches exposed to skin. The sampling time is as short as 10 min, while the desorption time is 2 min. Technical precision of micropatch analysis varies within the range of 3-42%, depending on the sample and the method of data treatment; the best technical precision (<= 10%) has been achieved while using an isotopically labeled internal standard. The limits of detection range from 7 to 278 pmol. Differences in the quantities of extracted metabolites are observed for the samples obtained from healthy individuals (intersubject variabilities: 30-89%; n = 9), which suggests that this method may have the potential to become a semiquantitative assay in clinical analysis and forensics.Item type:Item, Printed filtering antenna(2014-03-04) ;Chung Shyh-JongChuang Chao-TangA printed filtering antenna is provided. In this article, we focus on the distributions in the exponential families, and propose general forms of the truncated Pratt interval and rp interval for the means. We take the Poisson distribution as an example to illustrate the method and compare it with the other existing intervals. Besides possessing the merits from the theoretical inferences, the proposed intervals are also shown to be competitive approaches from simulation and real-data application studies.Item type:Item, Parameter adjustment device and method thereof(2014-03-04) ;Choi Charles Tak MingLee Yi-HsuanA parameter adjustment device and method thereof for a stimulator is disclosed. The parameter adjustment device comprises a generation unit, a user interface and a process unit. The generation unit generates a test MAP based on a current MAP. The user interface displays the current MAP and the test MAP for choosing one of them as the preferred MAP, and displays a major and a minor for choosing again, the major and the minor is defined as a significant difference and a little difference between the test MAP and the current MAP respectively. The process unit computes the acceptance probability of the preferred MAP based on a major or minor probability correspondence relationship and determines a next MAP by comparing the acceptance probability with the test probability. When one of the termination conditions is satisfied in an iterative operation, the next MAP is outputted as the best MAP.Item type:Item, Method of elliptic curve cryptography using EW-MOF on scalar multiplication(2014-03-04) ;Ye Hung-Nan ;Wang Kuo-ChenJan Rong-HongA method of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) using the enhanced window-based mutual opposite form (EW-MOF) on scalar multiplication. First, an elliptic curve and a base point on the elliptic curve are selected. Next, essential pre-computed points for a selected window size are calculated. Then, a private key is randomly generated and the mutual opposite form (MOF) is used to convert the private key's binary representation into a signed binary representation. Finally, a public key is calculated by using the enhanced window (EW) method. By greatly reducing the number of essential pre-computed points, the EW-MOF reduces average key generation time (including pre-computation time).Item type:Item, Structural stability of diffusion barriers in thermoelectric SbTe: From first-principles calculations to experimental results(2014-03-05) ;Hsu, Hsiao-Hsuan ;Cheng, Chun-Hu ;Chiou, Shan-Haw ;Huang, Chiung-HuiLiu, Chia-MeiThis study involved developing robust diffusion barrier for n-type antimony telluride (SbTe) thermoelectric devices. Compared to conventional Ni barrier, the mid-band metals of Ta and TaN with favored ohmic-like contact exhibited smaller diffusion tail because of structurally stable interface on SbTe, which have been supported by first-principles calculations and demonstrated by experimental results. Furthermore, the TaN barrier has strong ionic Ta-N bonding and a high total energy of -4.7 eV/atom that could effectively suppress the formation of SbTe-compounds interfacial layer. The photon energies were in the range of 284-298 eV for the carbon K-edge and 529.5-554.5 eV for the oxygen K-edge. The total ion yield, ion intensity for each ionic fragment, and ion intensity ratio, defined as ion intensity divided by total ion yield, were measured as a function of photon energy. Possible mechanisms of dissociation are proposed and enhancements of specific products of dissociation are reported. In general, the enhancement of these specific products is small in the carbon K-edge region but is clear for some products at the oxygen K-edge. In particular, elimination of the H atom from the hydroxyl group was observed only at the oxygen K-edge. One remarkable result is that an excitation of a core-level electron of oxygen greatly enhanced the cleavage of specific C-C bonds.Item type:Item, CONTROL CIRCUIT OF SRAM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF(2014-03-06) ;CHUANG Ching-Te ;LIEN Nan-Chun ;LIAO Wei-Nan ;CHU Li-WeiCHANG Chi-ShinA control circuit of SRAM and an operating method thereof are provided.
