Item type:Item, Graphene Quantum Dots Decorated Gold-Polyaniline Nanowire for Impedimetric Detection of Carcinoembryonic Antigen(2019-05-10) ;Ganganboina, Akhilesh Babu ;Doong, Ruey-An ;環境工程研究所Institute of Environmental EngineeringA label-free impedimetric immunosensor based on N, S-graphene quantum dots@Au-polyani line (N, S-GQDs@Au-PANI) nanowires was fabricated for the quantitative detection of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). The N, S-GQDs and Au-PANI were synthesized by a simple hydrothermal pyrolysis and interfacial polymerization, respectively. Subsequently, 2-9 nm N, S-GQDs are successfully decorated onto 30-50 nm Au-PANI nanowires by Au-thiol linkage to serve as the bifunctional probe for amplifying the electrochemical activity as well as anchoring anti-CEA. The N, S-GQDs@Au-PANI nanowires are excellent conducting materials to accelerate the electron transfer, while the formation of CEA antibodyantigen bioconjugates after the addition of CEA significantly increase the charge transfer resistance, and subsequently provides a highly stable and label-free immunoassay platform for the impedimetric detection of CEA. The label-free immunosensor exhibits a wide linear range from 0.5 to 1000 ng mL(-1) with a low detection limit of 0.01 ng mL(-1). The N, S-GQDs@Au-PANI based immunosensor also shows high selectivity and stability over other cancer makers and amino acids. Moreover, this promising platform is successfully applied to the detection of CEA in human serum samples with excellent recovery of (96.0 +/- 2.6)-(103 +/- 3.8)%. These results clearly demonstrate a newly developed highly efficient and label-free impedimetric immunosensor for the detection of CEA using N, S-GQDs@Au-PANI nanowires as the biosensing probe, which can pave the gateway for the fabrication of high performance and robust impedimetric immunosensor to detect cancer makers in early stage of cancer diagnosis and therapy.

The use of nanostructures in ARC has been intensively investigated because this can prolong the optical path length by a scattering effect or by the formation of a refractive index gradient. Herein, we proposed the use of TiO2 helical nanostructures using glancing angle deposition (GLAD), and then synthesized SiO2 surrounding the helical nanostructures to further decrease the reflectance by producing a refractive index gradient. The optimized values of TiO2 and SiO2 thicknesses are 150 nm and 3 nm determined by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation on Cu(In,Ga)Se-2 solar cells. The suppression of reflectance led to enhanced light absorption across a broad wavelength range, and boosted the J(SC) from 20.66 to 22.51 mA cm(-2), resulting in improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) from 6.32 to 7.00% after applying the TiO2-SiO2 core-shell nanostructures as the ARC. This 10.75% PCE enhancement suggests that the novel TiO2-SiO2 core-shell nanostructures have great potential as ARC for Cu(In,Ga)Se-2 solar cells, and it would be beneficial for development in the photovoltaic field in both research and applications. Item type:Item, First-principles study on sum-frequency generation spectroscopy of methanol adsorbed on TiO2(110) surface: Effects of substrate and molecular coverages(2019-05-14) ;Shen, Zhitao ;Lin, Chih-Kai ;Zhu, Chaoyuan ;Lin, Sheng Hsien交大名義發表In this work, starting from the general theory of sum-frequency generation (SFG), we proposed a computational strategy utilizing density functional theory with periodic boundary conditions to simulate the vibrational SFG of molecules/solid surface adsorption system. The method has been applied to the CH3OH/TiO2(110) system successfully. Compared with the isolated molecule model, our theoretical calculations showed that the TiO2 substrate can significantly alter the second-order susceptibilities of a methanol molecule which is directly related to the SFG intensity. In addition, the SFG spectra have obvious changes while the methanol coverage increases, especially for the OH vibration peaks. Our theoretical spectra agree reasonably well with experimental measurements at 1 ML coverage, and an interesting peak which is absent in the theoretical spectra is tentatively assigned to some CH3 stretch vibration of methanol adsorbed on the oxygen vacancy of TiO2.Item type:Item, 《攻敵必救》(Miss Sloane)(國立陽明大學, 2019-05-14) ;黃柏威陽明電子報編輯小組Item type:Item, Microwave growth and tunable photoluminescence of nitrogen-doped graphene and carbon nitride quantum dots(2019-05-14) ;Gu, Siyong ;Hsieh, Chien-Te ;Gandomi, Yasser Ashraf ;Chang, Jeng-KueiLi, JuTunable photoluminescent nitrogen-doped graphene and graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) quantum dots are synthesized via a facile solid-phase microwave-assisted (SPMA) technique utilizing the pyrolysis of citric acid and urea precursors. The atomic ratio, surface functionalization, and atomic structure of as-prepared quantum dots strongly depend on the ratio of citric acid to urea. The quantum dots have a homogeneous particle size and tend to form a circle and/or ellipse shape to minimize the edge free energy. The atomic ratio of surface nitrogen to carbon (N/C) in the quantum dots can reach as high as 1.74, among the highest values reported in the literature. The SPMA technique is capable of producing high-quality quantum dots with photoluminescence (PL) emission at various wavelengths on a pilot scale. The atomic structures of the N-doped graphene and g-C3N4 quantum dots are explored using molecular dynamics simulations. Increasing the urea concentration increases the tendency of in-plane N (i.e., quaternary N) substitution over that of other amino functionalizations, such as pyrrolic and pyridinic N. The PL emission can be precisely tuned via a one-step SPMA method by adjusting the precursor composition. A high quantum yield of 38.7% is achieved with N-doped graphene quantum dots, indicating the substantial influence of the N- and O-rich edge groups on the enhancement of PL efficiency. A bandgap structure is proposed to describe the interstate (*-) transition of quantum dots. This work introduces a novel approach for engineering the chemical composition and atomic structure of graphene and g-C3N4 quantum dots, facilitating their research and applications in optical, electronic, and biomedical devices.
