Abstract: We demonstrate high temperature-sensitive,wideband-tunable, laser-ablated asymmetric long period fiber gratings with optical polymer overlay. The temperature sensitivity call be as high as 15.8 nm/degrees C over a wide spectral range from 1545 to 1650 nm. (C)2007 Optical Society of America
