Real-time observation of the bond length modulation of carbon double bond during the photoisomerization of bacteriorhodopsin

Abstract

The observation of the real time frequency of C=C stretching mode shows that the bond length is modulated in the order of 10m angstrom by torsion of the C-13=C-14 double bond with a period of 200 fs.
