Transmission improvement in fiber radio links using semiconductor laser

Abstract

This investigation experimentally demonstrates the performance improvement in fiber-radio links by using a semiconductor laser. This technique improves receiver sensitivity over 4.5 dB by increasing the optical modulation depth. (C)2008 Optical Society of America.
