Abstract: A tunable photonic microwave filter using slow light in a VCSEL is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for the first time. Tunable microwave notch filter at 20 GHz can be achieved by adjusting the bias current of VCSEL. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
