Active leaky-mode array and application

Abstract

Recent advance in active integrated microstrip leaky-mode array is presented. Both theory and experiment for assessing the various types of leaky-mode arrays agree very well in prediction of the pencil-beam radiation characteristics and the frequency scanning directions. One successful example of applying the leaky-mode array in the microwave vision system is reported.
