隨機矩陣的數值域之研究
Abstract
本計畫之目的在於研究隨機矩陣其數值域的性質。我們想要獲得n乘n隨機矩陣的數值域之最佳範圍的完整刻劃。另一方面,我們也探討隨機矩陣的數值域是圓盤的可能性,我們猜測隨機矩陣的數值域不會是圓盤。

For an n-by-n complex matrix A, we discuss the numerical range of a stochastic matrix and relate it to the structure of the matrix. We will consider two problems: (a) Is it true that ( )WA is not a circular disc for any stochastic matrix A? (b) Find the best region n G such that for any n-by-n stochastic matrix A.
