Stable Optical Clock Generation in SOA-Based Fiber Lasers with Figure-Eight Cavity

Abstract

Stable optical clocks are obtained from 1.3-mu m and 1.5-mu m SOA-based fiber lasers using passive technology. The waveforms depend on SOA currents, and the repetition rates can be tuned by varying the relative length of sub-cavities.
