Characteristic Equation of Infinite Planar Corrugated Surfaces Derived by Asymptotic Corrugations Boundary Conditions

Abstract

In this paper, a new method to analyze the dielectric-filled corrugation is presented. Based on The asymptotic corrugations boundary condition (ACBC), the characteristic equation is derived, from which the dispersion diagram can be obtained rapidly, thereby conveying surface wave passband and stopband properties. Field distributions are also presented for the regions above the corrugations.
