| dc.description.abstract | The invention provides a fall detection and protection system and method. The fall detection and protection system includes a guarding device to be worn on a user, and a portable device having a pre-determined threshold value stored therein for detecting an activity of a user to acquire an activity status value, which is to be compared with the threshold value so as to detect and determine whether the user falls. When a fall is detected, the portable device transmits a triggering signal to the guarding device to activate the guarding function of the guarding device, thereby preventing the user from injury caused by the impact and collision of a fall. | zh_TW |
