Item type:Item, DETERMINATION OF THE NMR MONOMER SHIFT AND DIMERIZATION CONSTANT IN A SELF-ASSOCIATING SYSTEM BY DIRECT APPLICATION OF THE LEAST-SQUARES METHOD(1994-12-07) ;TAN, HKS ;交大名義發表 ;應用化學系 ;National Chiao Tung UniversityDepartment of Applied ChemistryThe monomer shift and dimerization constant of a self-associating system have been determined directly by applying the least-squares method to the NMR experimental data. Equations have been obtained in which two analytic methods can be applied. In the first method, a value of the dimerization constant is assumed and by linear regression the error sum of squares (ESS) is calculated. The minimum ESS is located by a five-point searching algorithm. In the second method, non-linear regression analysis of the model equation with the least-squares method results in a single equation of unknown K. A conventional root finding method is then applied from which the values of monomer shift and dimerization constant are determined. The numerical procedures proposed in this paper have been illustrated with an example using previously published experimental NMR data. Results of calculations are discussed.Item type:Item, SIMULTANEOUS IN-SERVICE FAULT-LOCATING AND EDFA-MONITORING SUPERVISORY TRANSMISSION IN EDFA-REPEATERED SYSTEMS(1994-12-08) ;CHEN, YK ;GUO, WY ;WAY, WI ;CHI, S光電工程學系In-service WDM-based supervisory transmission in four/five EDFA-repeater 375km/365km systems is demonstrated. It is found that the peak switching and the suppression of low-energy peaks in the above-threshold ionization is clearly manifested in this theory. We found that the apparent threshold shifts of the ATI peaks are strongly dependent on the final continuum state. The frequency dependence of the energy spectrum is also investigated.Item type:Item, INFLUENCE OF SURFACE EXCITATIONS ON ELECTRONS ELASTICALLY BACKSCATTERED FROM COPPER AND SILVER SURFACES(1994-12-15) ;CHEN, YF ;SU, P ;KWEI, CM ;TUNG, CJ電子工程學系及電子研究所Item type:Item, STUDY OF THE LOSS OF PATTERN DEFINITION IN DIAMOND GROWTH(1994-12-15) ;CHEN, CF ;CHEN, SH ;交大名義發表 ;材料科學與工程學系National Chiao Tung UniversitySelectivity loss (i.e. deposition on a mirror-smooth finished silicon surface) during diamond film growth using a selective deposition technique was investigated. CH4-CO2 gas mixtures without supplying hydrogen were used to enhance the nucleation density. After pattern generation and ultrasonic agitation pretreatment, the Si substrates were dipped into a solution of HF:HNO3:H2O (1:1.1:10) for various lengths of time to increase the pattern definition during the second period of diamond film growth. It was found that the selectivity loss in the diamond films could be significantly reduced by increasing the dipping time. The nuclei formed in the nucleation step were etched using the above solution, which reduced the selectivity loss. Scanning electron microscopy and electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis were used to examine the selectivity loss and morphological change of the as-grown diamond films. It was also found that a higher CH4 concentration resulted in a high selective loss of diamond growth.Item type:Item, 大寂之氅(1994-12-15)管管Item type:Item, 大寂之氅(1994-12-15)管管Item type:Item, 大寂之氅(1994-12-15)管管Item type:Item, 大寂之氅(1994-12-15)管管Item type:Item, COMPARISON OF CHEMICAL-VAPOR-DEPOSITION OF TIN USING TETRAKIS-DIETHYLAMINO-TITANIUM AND TETRAKIS-DIMETHYLAMINO-TITANIUM(1994-12-15) ;SUN, SC ;TSAI, MH ;交大名義發表 ;奈米中心National Chiao Tung UniversityThe attributes and limitations of chemically vapor-deposited titanium nitride films from the reaction of tetrakis-diethylamino-titanium with ammmonia and tetrakis-dimethylamino-titanium with ammonia are discussed. Deposited films were characterized by growth rate, resistivity, surface morphology and step coverage over contact structures. Films deposited without ammonia flow were unstable in the atmosphere and Auger analysis showed a higher relative carbon content. It was found that the deposition pressure had a stronger effect than did the deposition temperature on the bulk resistivity and surface roughness. A higher pressure has a tendency to reduce the resistivity. Films appear smooth at low deposition temperatures and low pressures. Films become rough at high deposition temperatures and high pressures. The deposition process and resulting TiN layers are successfully integrated in a chemcially vapor-deposited W plus fill application.Item type:Item, OPTICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF DIAMOND SYNTHESIZED USING CH4-CO2 GAS-MIXTURES WITHOUT SUPPLYING HYDROGEN GAS(1994-12-15) ;CHEN, CF ;CHEN, SH ;HONG, TM ;LEU, JS交大名義發表Diamond films are the optical choice for IR window applications. Polycrystalline diamond films were synthesized in this study by microwave-plasma-assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD) using CH4 + CO2 as reactive gases. The primary purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the deposition conditions on the optical properties of PACVD diamond films. Room temperature optical properties of free-standing diamond films were studied by Fourier transform IR spectroscopy. Experimental results indicate that the refractive index of diamond films is comparable with that of natural diamond. The scattering loss caused by the rough surface of as-grown diamond film was reduced using a two-step process and polishing techniques. The resulting reduction in scattering loss increased the transmission intensity. For low temperature deposited diamond film the intensity of absorption due to carbon-hydrogen stretch bands was higher than that for film deposited at a high temperature. IR spectra are fitted with simulated spectra to determine the background absorption caused by the amorphous carbon contained in the films. Additionally, the background absorption of low temperature deposited diamond film was found to be larger than that of a diamond film deposited at 850 degrees C.Item type:Item, ELECTRICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF ARSENIC-ION-IMPLANTED SEMIINSULATING GAAS BY CURRENT-VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT(1994-12-19) ;LIN, GR ;CHEN, WC ;CHANG, CS ;PAN, CL光電工程學系Item type:Item, DOUBLE RESONANT BEHAVIOR OF MICROSTRIP RING-RESONATOR IN TL-BASED HIGH T-C SUPERCONDUCTING FILMS(1994-12-19) ;WU, SC ;YEH, CY ;CHEN, FH ;TSENG, TYWANG, CItem type:Item, 華文詩人筆會在深圳舉行(1994-12-19)莊子Item type:Item, THE PATH-PARTITION PROBLEM IN BLOCK GRAPHS(1994-12-23) ;YANG, JH ;CHANG, GJ ;應用數學系Department of Applied MathematicsWe present a linear-time algorithm for the path-partition problem in block graphs.Item type:Item, Study of Schottky barriers on n-type GaN grown by LP-MOCVD(1995) ;Guo, JD ;Feng, MS ;Pan, FM ;電子工程學系及電子研究所Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of ElectronicsItem type:Item, Identification of fault types for single faults in bitonic sorters(1995) ;LEE, TH ;CHOU, JJ ;電信工程研究所Institute of Communications EngineeringItem type:Item, 快速向量量化搜尋方法(1995) ;陳玲慧 ;CHEN LING-HWEI國立交通大學資訊科學研究所
