Stanford University has released its 2025 edition of the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list, recognizing outstanding researchers worldwide based on citation metrics and scientific influence. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) proudly counts 152 faculty members among the Career-Long Impact (1960–2024) category and 120 faculty members in the 2024 Annual Impact category—an increase of 10 and 3 scholars respectively from last year—underscoring NYCU’s long-term academic excellence and global research influence across engineering, science, and biomedicine.

Co-hosted by NYCU’s Center for Intelligent Drug Systems and Smart Bio-devices and Cancer and Immunology Research Center, the 2025 NYCU–UCSD Bilateral Symposium was successfully held on October 13–14, 2025, at the International Conference Hall, Xianqi Building, Boai Campus. Centered on the theme “AI Across Disciplines: Transforming Biomedical Research” the two-day symposium brought together leading scholars from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), who engaged with NYCU faculty and students through both in-person and online sessions.

及早發現子宮內膜癌

陽明交大醫院婦產科近日收治一名59歲女性病患。該名婦女於52歲停經，原本只是陪伴家人就診，在等候期間得知醫院提供子宮頸抹片篩檢服務，便隨機接受檢查。然而，婦產科鍾凱丞醫師在執行抹片檢查時，發現其子宮頸有明顯出血情形。進一步詢問後，病患才透露自己已出現斷斷續續的停經後出血長達一年，因沒有其他不適而一直未就醫。醫療團隊立即安排子宮內膜切片及核磁共振檢查，最終確診為子宮內膜癌第一期。病患隨即接受手術治療，並於術後配合放射治療，幸運地因早期發現而大幅提升了預後與存活率。

你或許也曾有過這樣的經驗：剛下飛機，就在入境走廊上排起長長的隊伍等待手提行李檢查；但有時又能拿到一張「分流識別卡」快速通關。這張小卡的背後，其實正是台灣長年守護養豬產業、防範非洲豬瘟（ASF）跨境入侵的重要防線。然而這項防線近日受到考驗——10 月下旬，台中市一處養豬場檢出非洲豬瘟病毒（ASFV）核酸陽性。政府隨即執行預防性撲殺與消毒作業，並劃設防疫管制區，暫停部分地區的豬隻運輸與屠宰。這起事件使防疫重心從邊境防堵轉為國內應變，顯示 ASFV 一旦進入飼養系統，將可能對畜產生產造成嚴重影響。
新型記憶體商用化再推進

在急診室裡，當孩子開始哭的時候，他們身旁的父母往往也跟著慌了。時任陽明交大附設醫院陳彥如護理師與護理學系陳紀雯教授長期關注孩子在急診室裡的經歷，她們不只一次聽到家長不知不覺對孩子說出「忍一忍就過去啦」、「有這麼可怕嗎？」，或帶著嚴厲口吻的「再哭就怎麼樣怎麼樣」。之所以會這樣說，是因為那個當下，家長自己也不知道該怎麼辦。
