dc.description.abstract | Supramolecular interactions, including hydrogen bonding, metal bonding, and ionic forces, can be applied to electro-optical organics and nanoparticles in various aspects. The supramolecular interactions of complimentary moieties among organics, polymers, and nanoparticles will have important influence on their electro-optical or optical properties. Biosensor, chemosensor, solar cell, and liquid crystalline materials possessing supramolecular interactions among organics or between organics and nanoparticles will be specially concerned and studied. The effects of hydrogen bonds, metal bonds, and ionic forces on previous electro-optical or optical properties of these supramolecular materials and supramolecular nanocomposites (containing nanoparticles) will be investigated in this project. | en_US |
