dc.description.abstractAn enterprise computing platform is a combination of emerging technologies and methodologies on which people can perform business activities to produce values. In recent years, several new technologies have boosted the evolution of the enterprise computing platform toward a more efficient and effective computing. However, only a few enterprises can utilise these technologies effectively and incorporate them into the platform. This research targets examining and creating a reference model and, more importantly, gives an answer as to how to instrument the integration adapter over an enterprise computing platform. This research starts from an enterprise application architecture survey. Based on results, the research team proposes a reference model for the platform. An integration framework, iCell is proposed to fulfil the integration gaps in the proposed architecture reference model. Finally the proposed artefacts are examined in a real enterprise application project to evaluate the impacts both on technology and on business.en_US
