摘要: 本研究目的為探討封閉式泡沫鋁材料之微觀結構與其受壓力學反應之關係。主要研究架構包含微觀結構觀察、力學實驗以及數值模擬三大部分。微觀結構觀察部分,針對各區域細胞尺寸、形狀與幾何特徵進行量測與統計。力學實驗方面,配合微電腦斷層掃描技術,記錄材料於受壓力學實驗過程中內部微觀結構之變形演進,並探討多種試樣幾何參數對於材料機械性質參數之影響。數值模擬方面,將依據微觀結構觀察之統計結果建立合適的數值模型,並利用商用有限元素軟體ABAQUS進行分析,以模擬封閉式泡沫鋁材料之各項機械性質。
This study aims to investigate the cellular microstructure of closed-cell aluminum foam and its relation to the foam mechanical response by means of experimental and numerical efforts. Microstructural characterization on cell morphology is first systematically performed from which geometric features are measured and recorded. Such information not only enhances the understanding of the cellular microstructure but also helps greatly on the development of representative numerical models. Crushing experiments are subsequently conducted in order to access the mechanical properties for foam specimens under various testing conditions. Meanwhile, a micro-CT scanner is incorporated to monitor the evolution of deformation patterns in the cellular microstructure during the crushing tests. A series of numerical models, based on the measured microstructural features, are used to reproduce mechanical parameters. Simulated numerical results are compared with experimental ones and the effect of each of the imperfections observed on the foam mechanical response is investigated accordingly.
