zh_TW
Although cloud computing technologies provide many advantages for organizations, security is still a barrier for wide-spread adoption to the public. Many cloud systems suffer from various attacks, including unauthorized data modification, denial of service, etc. Existing risk assessment methods are presented to evaluate the security of a cloud environment, from the viewpoint of either a Cloud service provider (CSP) or a cloud user. Thus, these methods cannot satisfy both CSP's and user's security requirements. In this research, we propose an Adjustable Cloud Risk Assessment systeM (abbreviated to ACRAM) for CSPs and users to assess the cloud security before deploying and providing a cloud service. ACRAM consists of a risk assessment module running in Offline or Online mode. In the Offline mode, ACRAM can assess the static risk of a cloud system based on the historical software vulnerabilities. In the Online mode, ACRAM can assess the dynamic risk of a cloud system according to the runtime network and system statistics. To show how ACRAM can react to different CSPs' and users' requirements, we conduct several experiments, using different weights of Confidentiality (C), Integrity (I) and Availability (A.) The results show that 1) a CSP can protect a future user from being co-located with a possible attacker, according to the dynamic risk estimated by ACRAM; 2) a CSP can take some risk mitigation to meet a user's requirement when the abnormal traffic and system behaviours are detected in users' working environments at runtime.en_US
