摘要: | bstract In this work a stealth thermosensitive liposome encapsulated with AuNRs @ MnMEIO-Dox in a bilayer membrane was prepared using sonication and extrusion which can easily deliver the chemotherapeutic anticancer drug to the affected tumorous part. AuNRs (Gold Nanorods) in liposome can absorb a certain wavelength of light, convert optical energy into heat, induce phase transition rather than destruction of lipid bilayer, and Doxorubicin (Dox) shows the release of the content when light triggered where MnMEIO has been used for in vivo applications such as magnetic resonance Imaging contrast enhancement(MRI).The results showed that within 60 second, the temperature raised till 90°C because of AuNRs photothermic effect and doxorubicin has released from liposome after 2W irradiation of 808 NIR laser. The TEM images showed that the AuNRs@MnMEIOs nanocluster encapsulated inside the liposome vesicles and the size is about 200 nm. Liposome with AuNRs @ MnMEIO – Dox was stable at 37 °C, while released over 95% Dox within few min (~2-3min) at 42 °C. This combination of thermosensitive liposomes with AuNRs @MnMEIO - Dox offers promising clinical opportunities to improve Liposomal Dox delivery to solid tumors. Keywords: Liposome, Manganese Magnetism-Engineered IronOxide (MnMEIO), Gold Nanorods (AuNRs), MRI imaging, Photothermal Therapy, Near-infrared (NIR) laser.
