dc.description.abstractTaiwan’s restaurant business has been contributing to the country’s economic growth for the past few years. Many restaurants in Taiwan has successfully built their brands and been expanding in both Taiwan and overseas. Taiwanese value eating and dine out usually as part of their culture and lifestyles, and not only for local cuisine but also other international cuisines from Japan, Korea, Italy, France, Thailand and US. In recent years, Southeast Asian cuisine such as Thai cuisine has seemed to gain popularity in Taiwan marked by the successful expansion of Thai flagship restaurant, Thai town cuisine across the island and China. Interestingly, similar midscale restaurant set up for Indonesian cuisine has not been seen in Taiwan despite Bali topping the list of holiday destination for Taiwanese and its proximity with Thai cuisine. This paper will present a business plan for opening an Indonesian restaurant, which is also considered as the first step that the author would like to carry out her plan in the near future in Taiwan.zh_TW
