dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the speed control for two series-connected five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) is first proposed where both speeds of two five-phase PMSMs can be controlled independently without any position sensors. In first, the concept of the extended electromotive force (EEMF) developed for single motor is extended for two series-connected five-phase PMSMs. Some experimental results are provided to verify the proposed ISC.en_US
