dc.description.abstractAuthenticated key agreement based on passwords over insecure networks is the conventional method of secure communications in the various networking environments. In this article, we propose an efficient authenticated key agreement scheme without using smart card and the security of our proposed scheme is based on exclusive OR operation, hashing function, and discrete logarithm problem. Therefore, the proposed scheme does not need the use of any additional public-key infrastructure and it is not only secure against security attacks but also is more efficient than the other schemes.en_US
