dc.description.abstractA variational method is presented for the analysis of an annular ring with finite conductor thickness. A hybrid electromagnetic analysis method is utilized to derive an upper bound of the capacitance C. The appropriate sets of basis functions are introduced in the numerical computations, which afford capacitance values for a finite as well as zero conductor thickness with high accuracy.en_US
