dc.description.abstractA computer-aided method for linear discrete-time system model reduction via step-response matching is presented in this paper . Golub's algorithm for solving least squares problem is used to find the optimun coefficients of the reduced model. The advantage of this method is that both the time response and frequency response within the bandwidth region of reduced model are very close to that of original model.Several illustrative examples are provided.en_US
