dc.description.abstractThe first-rank tensor operator has been used to develop the relations between the direction cosines and the first-order rotational repreaentations.These relations have been used to derive the explicit formulas in terms of 3j symbols for the line strengths of the asymmetric rotors.Some detail calculations and comparisons with CHK(1) have been discussed. The nonvanishing magnitudes of 3j symbols used specially for the rotational transitions for J up to 4 have also been tabulated.en_US
