dc.description.abstract | Beattie (1962) proposed a continuous acceptance sampling plan for attributes inspection which seems to appear well-suited and applicable to the situations when production is continuous, sampling test is destructive, a constant sampling rate is required, and discrimination between two quality levels is required with a small sample size. Prairie and Zimmer (1973) presented brief underlying mathematics and provided tables and graphs of the ARL for a variety of plans to aid in the design and evaluation of Beattie's continuous acceptance sampling procedure. However, their approach suffers the restriction that the parameters are integers. In this paper, a method for deriving the non-integer parameters is proposed, we begin by discussing the previously published method. Then we described our new approach . Finally, some tables and graphs are provided for determining a plan along with examples of their use. | en_US |
