dc.description.abstract | 本研究主要在探討被動矩陣式OLED解析度的提升,研究採用驅動及Layout的方式增加PMOLED解析度。透過多顆驅動IC提高解析度及維持亮度一定水準。與AMOLED比較可以利用現有PMOLED機台生產,減少機台花費成本及修改機台的需求,論文中記錄整個設計流程、面板顯示結果。 目前AMOLED生產成本過高,除了OLED鍍膜機台外,需要額外建置TFT Array廠房,而Amorphous silicon(非晶矽)TFT載子移動率較低,相較LCD電壓驅動,使用a-Si TFT驅動OLED無法提供較高的電流,需要LTPS(低溫多晶矽)TFT方式達到高電流轉換維持高顯示亮度,造成AMOLED良率降低而面板價格居高不下。PMOLED面板僅須幾道光罩製作,製程簡單良率相對較高,在小尺寸當中,利用被動驅動方式,更容易達到所需顯示品質。 穿戴式產品目前顯示需求並非要求大尺寸顯示器,而是著重在戶外可清晰分辨及省電,一般PMOLED雖然有著高對比優點,但始終無法達到AMOLED及TFT LCD解析度,AMOLED在大尺寸雖然有高品質優勢,但1.5吋以下場合AMOLED成本始終高出PMOLED許多。被動點亮PMOLED適合在1.5吋以下產品應用,如果可以將現有小尺寸PMOLED解析度提升,PMOLED就更適合利用在低成本考量的顯示場合。本研究透過驅動方式的改良可將一般PMOLED解析度往上提升兩倍以上,並且亮度可維持原來水準,而不會造成掃描數提高而亮度降低的問題,在穿戴式顯示成本及顯示品質能夠取代AMOLED及TFT LCD顯示器。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to enhance the passive oled resolution and increased passive oled resolution using the method of drive and layout. To improve oled resolution and maintain perfect brightness through multi-driver IC. We could manufacture using existing passive oled machines. That could reduce cost and some modification of machine.Paper was recorded the entire process of design and result of panel displayed. Currently active oled has more cost. Besides oled coating machine, need to build additional TFT array plants. Amorphous silicon has low carrier mobility. By comparison with lcd voltage drive. Using amorphous silicon TFT drived oled couldn’t be provided high current. LTPS TFT could drive high current and high brightness. But using LTPS has more cost issue. Passive oled has low manufacturing cost and high yield. Passive oled is excellent application in the small device. In wearable applications is not necessarily large display. It should be clear reading and saving power. Passive oled has high contrast for reading. But resolution is not enough by comparison with active oled and TFT lcd. Active oled has high quality in large size, but active oled cost is not an advantage in less than 1.5 inch. If passive oled resolution could be enhanced. There will be a lot of advantage in low cost device. This study was using drive method to increased passive oled resolution. And oled brightness could be maintained.Active oled and TFT lcd could be replaced in low cost applications. | en_US |
