dc.description.abstract小細胞(small cell)網路近年來被期待成為未來5G無線通訊具有前途的方法之一。為了實現更高的數據速率與更好的頻譜效率,越來越多的小細胞基地台被布置在LTE-A系統之中。因此,如何妥善地管理這些小細胞基地台成為一項重要的議題。 本論文提出利益式自配置(utility-based self-configuration, USC)機制,用以提高小細胞基地台在macro-small cell網路的頻譜效率與能量效率。USC機制可以根據一個考慮小細胞基地台狀態與使用者資訊的利益函數,來切換小細胞基地台的操作模式。模擬結果顯示出我們提出的USC機制,相較於訊務導向節能(TAPS)機制與所有小細胞基地台皆打開的情況,擁有較好的系統性能。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractSmall cell network is expected to be one of the promising solutions for the future 5G wireless communication networks. To achieve higher data rate and better spectral efficiency, more and more small-cell base stations (SBSs) would be deployed in LTE-A systems. Therefore, it will be an important issue about how to manage these SBSs in a macrocell appropriately. In this thesis, we propose a utility-based self-configuration (USC) scheme to improve the spectral efficiency and energy efficiency of SBSs in a macro-small cell network. The USC scheme will be used for the switching of operation modes of SBSs based on a utility function considering SBSs’ status and user equipment (UE) information. Simulation results show that the proposed USC scheme achieves better system performance than the compared traffic-aware power saving (TAPS) scheme and the conventional SBS all in open case.en_US
