本末島誌 02

Abstract

筆者在書寫論文初期,發覺自己情不自禁地一直買新的書來讀、找沒看過 的電影來看、比以往更頻繁地把生活所見都記錄下來,試圖從中得到更多素材 與養份。但這對我來說,根本是創作前的醞釀期才會發生的事,這次卻在寫論 文前發生了。故筆者決定將本論文作為畢業創作系列「本末島誌」的續集。亦 即,這篇論文既是我的畢業系列作品之一,部分內容也是我畢業製作的創作自 述,而其餘內容除了探討自身生命經驗與創作脈絡外,也為下一集的「本末島 誌」進行思考與規劃。

標題訂為「本末島誌 02」的畢業論文,為「本末島誌」系列刊物的第三 本。這一期的「本末島誌」試著透過回顧舊作的創作歷程,重新省思創作當下 與寫作論文的現下意念之轉換或連續,並整理其中與畢展作品「本末島誌 00」 和「本末島誌 01」之間的連結與脈絡。此系列刊物著重於呈現作者如何接受, 並試圖從另一角度重新認識和定義自身的缺點,也以「本末倒置」為中心,發 散出其他事件主題,並重新將其文字化或視覺化。對身為創作者的我而言, 「本末島誌 02」扮演著承先啟後的角色,在回顧的同時也企劃著未來將繼續發 展的「本末島誌」系列作品。我嘗試挑戰作品與論文在邏輯上和產出時間上的 先後次序,並秉持本末倒置的精神,讓本篇論文成為下一階段創作的發想起 點,使其成為更貼近自身不斷出現的本末倒置狀態之創作。

In the beginning of the thesis writing, I found that myself could not resist buying and reading new books, searching movies that I’ve never watched before and more frequently recording thing happened in my life to obtain more ideas and materials from them. Usually, this behavior occurs in the preparing period before creating art works, but it was happened to me during the period of writing thesis this time. Therefore, I decided to make my thesis become the sequel to the graduation work which named “Put the Cart Before the Horse”. In other words, this thesis is a part of my graduation work with the self-introduction of my graduating creativities, the discussion of personal experiences in my lifetime and the thread of creativities, and the thinking and future plan of the next volume of “Put the Cart Before the Horse”.
