dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a miniaturized wide band micromachined directional coupler is demonstrated. A slot structure is applied to the design and utilized to enhance the coupling between the signal lines, therefore, the proposed coupler can achieve high coupling within a smaller area. The overall size of the proposed coupler is only 1340 x 4750 gm. The final dimensions are obtained with the use of full-wave electromagnetic analysis. The validity of the proposed design is confirmed experimentally.en_US
