Abstract: | Landslide volume induced by typhoons is prone to be estimated by empirical formula. Its advantage is only needed fewer parameters and simpler assumption. The input parameters can be obtained from field surveys or remote sensing interpretation on GIS platform that would help engineers with practical design and implement emergency action when encountering geohazards. Therefore, this study aimed to develop typical, reliable, and simple empirical formula to estimate landslide volume from typhoon events in a watershed. Collection of complete landslide inventory and precise precipitation is a priority task. Based on the above, rational studies can be conducted for reduce risk of sediment disaster and implementation on of soil and water conservation works. |
