A stepped-impedance coupled line (SICLN) is proposed in this paper. The proposed SICLN can be equivalent to a conventional quarter-wave coupled line section at the center frequency. The proposed SICLN is applied to half-and quarter-wave parallel-coupled filters. The proposed filters show both size reduction and better spurious responses.en_US
