This project is designed for teaching cross‐disciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship, exploring to integrate key technologies for cross‐disciplinary innovation, and seeking to fill the gaps in the process of Taiwan’s innovation and entrepreneurship. The key technology proposed is BioICT, biomedical devices and wearables. This study is an interdisciplinary research in the fields of science and technology, management, and economic and social science. The purpose of formulating this series of cross‐disciplinary courses is to establish dialogue between technology and management fields, to promote cooperation between the technology team and the management team, and to stimulate the potential for technological innovation and entrepreneurship. We believe that Taiwan has an ideal mix of entrepreneurs, engineers & technology, financing, and operational infrastructure, needing to create an environment that will allow the optimal interaction between people. The purpose of this project isto unlock the boundary and to fill the gap. We propose the series of courses to provide students with an overview of the business planning process that will enable them to define, develop, and promote innovative initiatives on the creation of a new venture. In this series of courses, students will acquire a greater understanding of the entrepreneurial process – a process of opportunity recognition, resource marshalling, and team building driven by communication, creativity, and leadership. In the end of the courses, students will learn not only how to prepare a new start‐up but also how to think and act like entrepreneurs in their daily life. Students in this course shall: 1) Identify new venture opportunities (versus ideas), 2) Evaluate the viability of a new venture, 3) Determine customer needs and developing a competitive value proposition; 4) Understand which skills are necessary for success and building a team that possesses those attributes, and 5) Be superior opportunity assessors and shapers, 6) Understand the integration of people and process in entrepreneurship; 7) Be able to write, articulate, and present a feasibility study that logically determines whether or not a particular business idea should be pursued, 8) Have a better understanding of your personal entrepreneurial capacity.en_US
