| 摘要: | 法國國家科學院院長Jules A. Hoffmann應台灣聯合大學系統之邀於97年9月10日(星期三)下午3時至4時30分來本校活動中心表演廳擔任溫世仁卓越學術講座講者，講題為 " The Antimicrobial Host Defense of Drosophila : A Paradigm for Innate Immunity "。 Hoffmann教授為天生免疫（Innate Immunity）學門的國際權威。他是全世界第一位學者証實抗菌蛋白等天生抵禦分子的細胞生成是經由Toll receptor活化所促成的。此項開拓性的發現促進了近年來哺乳類動物Toll-like receptors的發現及Innate immunity的蓬勃發展。Hoffmann教授在天生免疫反應方面貢獻良多，已發表學術論文超過250篇，且獲得多項獎項，如William Coley Award、Koch Prize for Immunology等。 Jules A.
